The 16-year-old dominated again to storm to 3,000m glory.
IRELAND’S SARAH HEALY completed the second leg of a glorious long-distance double at the U18 European Championships this evening, again dominating the field to win 1,500 metres gold by some distance.
After claiming 3,000m gold on Friday, Healy showed all her class again to move through the years, pull away from her nearest competitors and coast to victory in another championship record of 4:18.71.
The Hold Child Killiney student’s latest record-breaking feat caps a brilliant week for Ireland, who finish with four medals, three of which were gold after the track success of Healy, Rhasidat Adeleke and Sophie O’Sullivan.
