PRIMARK has recalled thousands of men’s flip flops believed to be contaminated by dangerous chemicals linked to cancer.
The footwear is believed to be contaminated with chrysene, which studies have found can cause cancer.
The alert involves flip flops from the store’s Cedar Wood State range – in khaki, black and blue.
A Primark spokesman moved to calm fears, though – confirming that health risks are “minimal”.
A statement reads: “At the levels found in the flip flop, we believe the health and safety risk to customers is minimal.
